Per SQFT Cost of Slab in India – 1000 SQFT Slab Cost in india

Per Sqft Cost of Slab in India

First, you’ll need to calculate the amount of concrete you’ll need. This will depend on the size of the slab and the thickness of the concrete. For example, if you’re pouring a 10-foot by 10-foot slab with a thickness of 4 inches, you’ll need approximately 2.125 cubic meters of concrete.

Let’s take an example,

Construction Cost of a 1000 sqft Slab

Suppose,

Slab Size – 25′ x 40′

Per SQFT Cost of Slab
Per SQFT Cost of Slab

So, the Area of the Slab – is 1000 sqft.

The thickness of the Slab – is 5” or 0.4166 ft. ( after converting inch to feet).

Concrete [M20] grade ratio – 1:1.5:3

(1 part – Cement: 1 Part  – sand : 3 Parts – Aggregates)

To calculate the quantity of cement, aggregates, and sand required for a slab, first, we need to calculate the volume of concrete.

The volume of Concrete in 1000sqft slab – Slab area x slab thickness

= 1000 x 0.4166 = 416.6 Cft.

The volume of the concrete slab in m3 – 416.6/35.3147 = 11.80 Cum.

(After converting Cft to cum).

So, Wet volume of concrete = 11.80 Cum.

To get dry volume multiplied by 1.54 (a constant).

Dry Volume – 11.80 x 1.54 = 18.172 cum.

The sum of the Concrete ratio – 1+1.5+3 = 5.5

Quantity of Materials for Slab

1). Cement

Per SQFT Cost of Slab
Per SQFT Cost of Slab

To calculate materials quantity from concrete. Here we used a formula.

Part of cement/Sum of ration x dry volume

= 1/5.5 x 18.172 = 3.304 Cum.

(To Calculate Cement in no. of Bags. Simply multiply it by 28.8).

No. of Cement Bags required – 3.304 x 28.8 = 95.15 or 96 bags.

or

The density of cement – is 1440kg/cum.

= 1440 x 3.304 = 4757.76kg.

= 4757.76/50 = 95.15 bags ( 1 bag cement = 50kg).

2). Sand

Per SQFT Cost of Slab

Part of Sand/Sum of ratio x dry volume.

= 1.5/5.5 x 18.172 = 4.95 Cum.

In Cubic feet – 4.95 x 35.3147 = 175 Cft. (because 1 cum is equal to 35.3147cft).

3). Aggregates

Per SQFT Cost of Slab

Part of Sand/Sum of ration x dry volume.

= 3/5.5 x 18.172 = 9.912 Cum.

In Cubic feet – 9.912 x 35.3147 = 350 Cft. (because 1 cum is equal to 35.3147cft).

4). Steel Reinforcement

Per SQFT Cost of Slab

Steel quantity is approx 0.5 to 1% of the total concrete volume.

Consider Average Steel Qty Percentage – 0.75%.

Total Slab Concrete volume – 18.172 Cum.

So, Total Steel qty. Required –  0.75/100×18.172×7850 = 1070kg.

5). Water Proofing Concrete Agent (optional)

Here we use LW+ 101 as a waterproofing agent

Construction Cost of a 1000 sqft Slab
Construction Cost of a 1000 sqft Slab

1 cement bag required 200ml. dr. Fixit 101 lw+

Total Cement bags required – 96 bags.

Total dr. fixit 101 lw+ required –   96 x 0.200 = 19.2ltr. or approx. 20ltr.

Total Cost of Materials

1). Cement Cost

Cement required – 96 bags.

The market rate of cement bags – is Rs.410 to 430/- bag.

Total Cost of cement – 96 x 430 = Rs. 41,280/-

2). Sand Cost

Dust required – 175Cft.

The market rate of Dust/sand – is Rs.50 to 60/- bag.

Total Cost of Dust/sand – 175 x 60 = Rs. 10,500/-

3). Aggregate Cost

Aggregates required – 350Cft.

The market rate of Aggregates – is Rs.55 to 65/- bag.

Total Cost of Aggregates – 350 x 65 = Rs. 22,750/-

4). Steel Reinforcement Cost

Steel required – 1070kg.

The market rate of Steel reinforcement – is Rs.75 to 80/- kg.

Total Cost of Steel reinforcement – 1070 x 80 = Rs. 85,600/-

5).  Dr. Fixit Waterproofing Chemical

Dr. Fixit Waterproofing Chemical Required – 20ltr.

The market rate of lw+ 101 – Rs.2000 to 3000/- for 20 ltr.

Total Cost of Lw+ 101  = Rs.3000/-

6). Electrical Materials

Per SQFT Cost of Slab

Electrical Conduit pipes & fan Boxes Materials lumpsum Cost – Rs.2000/-

Total Materials Cost

= Cement Cost + Sand Cost + Aggregate Cost + Steel Cost + Dr. Fixit Cost + Electrical Materials.

=  41280 + 10500 + 22750 + 85600 + 3000 + 2000  = Rs.1,65,130/-

Labor Charges

Labor Rates

Per SQFT Cost of Slab

For Shuttering, Bar binding & Concrete Casting – Rs. 35 to 40/-Sqft.

Total Slab Area – 1000 Sqft.

Total Cost of Labor – 1000 x 40 = Rs.40,000/-

Electrician charges = Rs.10/-per sqft.

Total Slab Area – 1000 Sqft.

Total Cost of Labor – 1000 x 10 = Rs.10,000/-

So, Total labor charges =  40,000 + 10,000 = Rs.50,000/-

Total Cost of Slab

Materials Cost + Labor Cost.

1,65,130 + 50,000 = Rs.2,15,130/-

Per Sqft Cost of Slab

Total Slab Cost/ Total Slab Area

= 2,15,130/1000 = Rs.215/-Sqft.
